Eating Out Together on the Weekend

xīngqī星期liù六zhōngwǔ中午，wǒ我hé和péngyou朋友qù去yī一jiā家xiǎo小fàndiàn饭店chīfàn吃饭。

At noon on Saturday, a friend and I go to a small restaurant to eat.

zhè这jiā家fàndiàn饭店lí离wǒ我jiā家bù不yuǎn远。

The restaurant is not far from my home.

wǒmen我们zǒu走le了shífēn十分zhōng钟jiù就dào到le了。

We get there after a ten-minute walk.

The server asks what we would like to eat.

I would like fish, and my friend would like eggs.

We order fish, eggs, and two bowls of rice.

My friend does not drink tea, so we ask for two glasses of water.
