Tidying My Room

zhōumò周末zǎoshang早上，māma妈妈ràng让wǒ我shōushi收拾fángjiān房间。

On a weekend morning, Mum asks me to tidy my room.

wǒ我de的shū书hé和yīfu衣服dōu都zài在chuáng床shàng上。

My books and clothes are all on the bed.

mèimei妹妹kànjian看见le了，shuō说tā她kěyǐ可以bāngmáng帮忙。

My younger sister sees this and says she can help.

wǒmen我们xiān先bǎ把shū书fàng放zài在zhuōzi桌子shàng上。

We first put the books on the desk.

wǒ我bǎ把bù不kàn看de的shū书fàng放jìn进yī一gè个xiāngzi箱子。

I put the books I am not reading into a box.

mèimei妹妹bǎ把yīfu衣服yī一jiàn件yī一jiàn件fàng放hǎo好。

My sister puts the clothes away one by one.

yǒu有yī一jiàn件yīfu衣服tài太xiǎo小le了，wǒ我yǐjīng已经bù不néng能chuān穿le了。

One item of clothing is too small for me to wear now.

māma妈妈shuō说kěyǐ可以bǎ把tā它sònggěi送给dìdi弟弟。

Mum says we can give it to my younger brother.

shōushi收拾wán完yǐhòu以后，fángjiān房间kànqilai看起来dà大le了hěn很duō多。

After we finish tidying, the room looks much bigger.

wǒ我zhōngyú终于zhǎodào找到le了zuótiān昨天zhǎo找bù不dào到de的bǐ笔。

I finally find the pen I could not find yesterday.

mèimei妹妹zuòxià坐下lái来，xiào笑zhe着kàn看wǒ我。

My sister sits down and looks at me with a smile.

wǒ我juédìng决定yǐhòu以后měi每tiān天shōushi收拾yīdiǎnr一点儿。

I decide to tidy a little every day from now on.
