My First Subway Ride

xīngqī星期liù六，wǒ我xiǎng想qù去túshūguǎn图书馆。

On Saturday, I want to go to the library.

péngyou朋友shuō说zuò坐dìtiě地铁bǐ比zuò坐gōnggòngqìchē公共汽车kuài快。

My friend says the subway is faster than the bus.

wǒ我yǐqián以前méiyou没有zuò坐guò过dìtiě地铁。

I have never taken the subway before.

péngyou朋友hé和wǒ我yīqǐ一起qù去le了dìtiězhàn地铁站。

My friend goes to the subway station with me.

wǒmen我们xiān先kàn看dìtú地图，zài再mǎi买piào票。

We look at the map first and then buy tickets.

péngyou朋友gàosu告诉wǒ我，wǒmen我们yào要zuò坐sì四zhàn站。

My friend tells me we need to travel four stops.

chē车lái来le了，lǐmian里面de的rén人bùtài不太duō多。

The train arrives, and there are not too many people inside.

wǒ我zuò坐zài在péngyou朋友pángbiān旁边，tīng听tā他shuō说měi每yī一zhàn站de的míngzi名字。

I sit beside my friend and listen as he names each stop.

dào到le了dì第sì四zhàn站，wǒmen我们yīqǐ一起xiàchē下车。

At the fourth stop, we get off together.

cóng从dìtiězhàn地铁站zǒu走dào到túshūguǎn图书馆zhǐyào只要wǔ五fēnzhōng分钟。

It only takes five minutes to walk from the station to the library.

huíjiā回家de的shíhou时候，wǒ我zìjǐ自己zuò坐le了dìtiě地铁。

On the way home, I take the subway by myself.

xiànzài现在，wǒ我juéde觉得zuò坐dìtiě地铁bìng并bùnán不难。

Now I feel that taking the subway is not difficult.
