Choosing the Right Restaurant for Friends

When arranging a meal with friends, I compare the atmosphere, prices, and food preferences and discover that suitability matters more than fame.

Some do not eat spicy food, one is vegetarian, and others want the prices to be reasonable.

When making the reservation, I first check whether there is a table that seats all six of us together.

On the day of the meal, instead of ordering many dishes right away, we first discuss what everyone most wants to eat.

Taking everyone's preferences into account, we order several mild dishes and place the spicy ones on the other side of the table.

Halfway through the meal, everyone feels there is enough food, so we do not order more.

Only then do I realize that choosing a restaurant means finding the place that suits the group best, rather than necessarily choosing the most famous one.
